Floor screeds come in a variety of forms. However, essentially a screed is a layer of material which is placed directly onto the base.
Floor screeds are important because they carry the final flooring. They also help to achieve a smooth finish. Therefore, the correct application of a screed will help to create a durable floor. This means the floor will be able to withstand the parameters of the environment.
We understand that many of our clients require underlay screeds to either build up levels or create falls. To guarantee the longevity of our floors, the underlay screed must be compatible with the resin flooring system.
At a minimum, the floor must have the required compressive strength and moisture content as per the resin suppliers’ recommendation. We would always recommend testing the underlay screed for compatibility with the resin flooring system.
Whilst we can provide a list of suitable screeds, it is important to always follow the suppliers’ application methods because any variations can cause problems with the bond to the resin flooring system. To eliminate this risk, we can install the screeds as part of our flooring package.
We offer a range of underlay screeds and concrete repair products depending on the requirements of the project.
