Primary school floor

When St Johns C of E Primary School in Peterborough, planned an extension, they called in National Flooring to provide a creative and stimulating flooring solution for their new art room. The floor finish had to be durable yet easy to maintain.

Following discussions held with the client, National Flooring specified the Degafloor Flake system, which provides a durable and easy to clean finish, but also the flexibility to create a unique and bespoke design, which was required to help provide a more creative environment.

The design included six stars each one decreasing in size. Each star was moulded from stainless steel trim and strategically placed to create a sweeping effect. Each star represents a different colour from the schools logo and complements the surrounding décor.

Colette Firth, Headteacher said, "Our new flooring is very much a success - the kids absolutely love it! We are always receiving great comments about the room, people describe it as a very inspirational space and the flooring really brings the room alive and ties the look together. It is extremely functional for our busy school, very easy to maintain and always looks fresh and clean."
