Fabric turns to resin for its nightclub flooring

One of London’s most popular venues that features some of the world’s finest talents asked RESYN to help with a refurbishment project to revamp the club’s image, by installing an attractive and durable nightclub flooring.

Fabric Nightclub, situated in the trendy Farringdon area is a popular spot for clubbers. They decided to renovate the old Victorian building and asked resin flooring specialists RESYN for their advice on a suitable yet attractive nightclub flooring. The nightclub is spread over two levels with a range of rooms and music genres creating different atmospheres, which meant the nightclub flooring solution needed to complement the surrounding décor and music.

Room One

In the access area- Room One, Fabric decided on a concrete finish to reflect a natural look. RESYN specified a seal system with glass beads to protect the concrete, whilst providing a slip-resistant finish. Including sub-floor preparation works, the job was to be completed over three days, allowing the club to open as usual on a popular Friday night spot.

During preparation, RESYN realised the condition of the concrete was not suitable and the plans needed to be changed. The alternative solution suggested was the Degafloor Freeflow System. The seamless system provides outstanding durability, required by a venue with such high footfall. Upon discussion, Fabric agreed the change to the initially scoped nightclub flooring solution and the specification colour was changed to a mono-colour floor finish that provided a simple yet attractive floor creating the ideal ambience.

With an ultra-fast cure time, the Free Flow System comes in a wide array of vibrant colour choices and offers a totally smooth nature as it’s a self-levelling resin flooring material.
